Andrew Polus

Education:
Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Academy of Physical Education - Krakow, Poland, 1988

Certification: Tennis Canada Coach 3, USPTA Pro, USPTR Pro I, Tennis Canada Coach 4 (Ongoing)

Playing History: As a player I was ranked nationally U18 in Poland.  My biggest win in juniors was versus Karl Novacek in an ITF tournament. He later became No. 10 in the world.

Teaching Highlights: As a coach, I have been involved in teaching a variety of nationally competitive junior players, many of who are now on NCAA scholarships in the United States

Years Teaching: 22

Years at Noble Tennis School: 2

Specialties: Any level of play is important to me as a coach and teacher.  The importance of teaching beginners comes down to developing a good technical base  so the strokes become fluid and effortless. For the intermediate level, the challenge is to incorporate technical and tactical elements of the game and achieving the "unconscious competence" that will enable students to reach more advanced stages of play.

Personal Message:   My highest purpose as a coach and teacher is to learn and grow from my  own experiences, and then incorporate my ever-increasing understanding for the benefit and strengthening of my students.
