Certification(s): Tennis Canada Club Pro 1,  NTS Teacher Apprentice Program, Soccer Canada “Advanced” Coach, NCCP Coach Level “B”, Can-Fit Pro Personal Fitness Trainer, Can-Fit Pro Nutrition Specialist, Standard First Aid + AED.
Teaching history: Coaching career began in 2006 at the Noble Tennis School, under the mentorship of nationally renowned Director, Tony Roth. Dan has been an integral part of the staff providing a unique perspective of teaching through his fitness background.

Teaching Highlights:

2017 - Became Program Leader for NTS U14 Intermediate Annual Program

2016 - Completed NTS Teacher Apprentice Program 

2013 - Completed Club Professional 1 Certification 

2011 - Assistant Professional & Junior Summer Camp Director (Rockcliffe Tennis Club)

2008 - Summer Tennis Camp Coordinator (Ottawa Athletic Club)

2006 - Completed Instructor Certification

Playing history: As a junior in Mexico, Dan trained and competed in local and national Tennis tournaments under the tutelage of his father and coach Jorge Vila. He went on to play soccer at a competitive level as well.

Specialties: Adaptability for lessons to students of all levels. Tennis specific strength and conditioning training. Using new Tennis training aids such as ball-machine & video analysis.
